Roy Lowey-Ball
Roy Lowey-Ball, AIA

Roy Lowey-Ball graduated from Rice University in 1968. After graduation, he served as an architect in the Peace Corps in North Africa. Lowey-Ball is recognized for his contributions in the field of legitimate theatre design. His most notable works include: Incarnate Word College Theatre, San Antonio, Texas; Strand Street Theatre, Galveston, Texas; St. Philip's Theatre, San Antonio, Texas; Skidmore College Theatre, Saratoga Springs, NY; and the renovation of Centro Civico in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Lowey-Ball served as the designer for the National Center for Economic Information for the Ministry of Finance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Other projects include master plans for clients such as The University of Texas at San Antonio, The University of Texas at Arlington, and Our Lady of the Lake University.

Lowey-Ball has served as president of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, vice-president of the Texas Society of Architects and a Trustee of the Texas Architects Committee. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, and has co-authored articles on technology and restoration practices.
