![]() Trinity University Ford, Powell & Carson was founded in 1967, some 40 years after Ford began his architectural career. . . In the years since Ford's death in 1982, partners Boone Powell, FAIA, Chris Carson, FAIA, and Carolyn Peterson, FAIA have led the firm in producing hundreds of projects at a variety of scales, with specialties from urban planning of the sort that helped to tie River Center so effectively into downtown San Antonio; to the design of graceful private residences; to historic preservation and adaptive reuse, such as the ingenious interventions made on the State Capitol in Austin and the Milton Faver fortified ranches in far West Texas. The firm's work has been recognized with over 125 state, local, and regional awards, and by a prominent role in the affairs of San Antonio.
