Wolff Stadium
San Antonio, Texas

This 6,400 seat stadium for the City of San Antonio houses the city's AA minor league baseball team, the Missions. Two stucco-clad towers at the stadium's main entrance recall the Spanish-influenced heritage of San Antonio as well as the name of the local ballclub.

The stadium's grandstand seating, topped by 14 corporate suite boxes, is covered by an open-trussed metal roof structure inspired by the industrial buildings of the area. Grassy berms flank the sides of the first and third base lines, providing picnic and lounging space. Another unique element of the stadium is the mezzanine level, a major circulation deck and concession area at the rear of the stadium that allows fans to watch the game while standing in the concession line.

The incorporation of craft elements complements the stadium's historic and industrial references and adds to its visual appeal. Custom punched metal light fixtures, spherical post tops, custom pennants and unique signage provide rich detailing despite a tight budget.
