Set in a quiet family neighborhood in New Braunfels, this single-story ranch home had lost much of its original charm through a series of past renovations. Walls had been added, finishes swapped, and character slowly erased, leaving behind a home that no longer felt whole.
Through our design and construction process, we worked to restore clarity and comfort while making the house better suited to modern family life. A small addition created just enough room for a proper dining space, nestled off the kitchen and filled with natural light. The kitchen itself was fully reimagined as the central hub of the home, with improved flow, storage, and connection to the surrounding living spaces.
“Rebekah did such a great job seeing the various styles that I was drawn to, then creating a vision and turning it into reality. We could not be happier with the final product. It feels clean and timeless yet still aligns with the year the home was built.”
As part of the renovation, we added a simple hallway to connect the new screened porch, primary suite, and kitchen, creating a much-needed link between old and new. Rather than leave it as just a pass-through, we carved out a small but flexible spot for reading, homework, or quiet focus, giving the family a little extra function without taking up much space. Just off the hall, the powder bathroom offered an opportunity for a small design surprise, with a bold color and playful finish that adds a bit of personality to the otherwise calm palette.
The result is a home that feels considered and connected—rooted in its ranch-style heritage but refreshed for the rhythms of family life today.
