The Stone Haus

scroll

This modest rock home, tucked into a quiet hilltop neighborhood in New Braunfels, was in need of a thoughtful renovation and addition to better support a young family's daily life. The client, an avid photographer inspired by the simplicity of Joshua Tree - envisioned a home filled with natural light, warm textures, and quiet moments of creativity.

We provided full design and construction services for the transformation. A new primary suite was added at the rear of the home, where we preserved an existing rock wall to create warmth and texture in the bedroom. We reimagined an underutilized hallway as a multi-use creative space - complete with a custom editing desk for the client’s photo work and a built-in window seat for her children.

Every decision was guided by light, texture, and the quiet character of the existing home - resulting in a space that feels both grounded in history and alive with new purpose.

“We started with one simple goal: more light, everywhere. From there, the whole design fell into place.”
