Mission Country Club
Odessa, Texas

Completed 1984

This West Texas country club is the centerpiece of a large development project. A large, semi-arid tract of land was transformed into a green oasis with two 18-hole gold courses surrounding the clubhouse. The two-story, 38,400 square foot structure serves as the centerpiece of Mission Dorado, a planned residential community.

Materials were carefully selected to work with the local climate. Adobe-colored handmade brick walls and a U-shaped gallery roofed with bovedas, traditional Mexican brick vaults, provide the main palette of materials and colors. The overall look and feel of Mission Country Club is that of a large Spanish Colonial Territorial hacienda.
