Texas Heritage Bank
Boerne, Texas

Completed, 2003

Ford, Powell & Carson worked closely with the Texas Heritage Bank to design an open, efficient branch banking facility. The program included a lobby, five offices, a conference room, a vault, teller operations, and support space.

The bank is centered around a central lobby which provides maximum visibility for the staff. The stained concrete floor, wood ceilings, warm wall colors, and abundant natural light provide an inviting atmosphere. The stone fireplace's surround and cornerstone were carved from stone found at the site.

The exterior form with sloping metal roofs, stone and stucco walls, and large overhangs is reminiscent of Hill Country buildings. The large windows provide view into the building. At night, when the interior spaces and exterior trees are lit, the building has a transparency highlighting its prominent location on the site.
